day sailing

Join us for day sailing to tropical cayes aboard “Next Wave”, a sleek, custom 50 foot catamaran. Net-dipping, sunbathing, snorkeling, beach combing and just plain fun in the sun on the spacious decks. Tuck into our sumptuous buffet lunch served aboard and keep cool with complimentary bar and drinks all day. Great times, great music make for an unforgettable experience for all the family.

“Next Wave” has a fascinating 20 year history. Originally built in 1984 by Walter Greene in Yarmouth, USA – she was raced under the name of “Sebago” and won several races during her first few years before being ‘retired’ and converted for day sailing in 1989. She was sold and went to Key West where she started the whole day sailing business there over 15 years ago and has been busy bringing happy smiles to passengers ever since. She still displays evidence of her racing pedigree with frequent speeds of over 15 knots.

“Next Wave” is equipped with a marine toilet and holding tank for guest comfort. Masks and snorkels are provided for viewing the underwater paradise during our lunch stop. We also have foam noodles and rubber rings for floating and relaxing. A fresh water spray rinses off the salt when you finish your water activities. Lay back in the bow nets while sailing and enjoy a cooling splash on the back as “Next Wave” dips into the waves. We call this fun activity net-dipping!

Day sailing departs Roberts Grove marina at 8:15am and another pick up at Placencia dock at 9:15am . Day sailing returns to Placencia at 2:15pm and Roberts Grove at 3:15pm . Sunset cruises depart from Roberts Grove Marina at 4:00pm and return at 6:30pm.
